Churches in Gidleigh Parish

Holy Trinity

Gidleigh Newton Abbot
(01647) 432265

The Church of the Holy Trinity at Gidleigh is a beautful Dartmoor church of Saxon origins, completely rebuilt in the late 15th and early 16th centuries (with some later additions). It is open every day of the year. Our churchyard is one of a very few in the UK which includes a stream and we also have a small castle next door.

Holy Trinity belongs to the family of churches called the North Dartmoor parishes in the Diocese of Exeter. We are a FairTrade church. We host a range of worship - from celebrating Lammas to Book of Common Prayer Communion (3rd Sunday, 8.30am) and an Easter vigil on Holy Saturday, as well as major community events like The Gidleigh Passion. We offer teas in the summer - Sunday afternoons, contact us for details - and hope you might drop by.

As well as being open every day of the year, weekly worship is available every Sunday online; just look for the Youtube channel Chagford Church Online for the North Dartmoor Parishes www.youtube.com<span style="font-size: 1rem;">
